Tape
Question: Can DAT audio tapes be used in DDS drives?
Answer: Although they are similar in size and appearance, DDS cartridges have been specially developed for use in data storage applications and are necessarily of much higher quality than their audio counterparts. If you are tempted to use audio DAT tapes, you risk losing your valuable data - use only certified DDS data cartridges. Usually, DDS drives will attempt to read, but will not write to audio DAT tapes.
